This Privacy Policy explains what information CBG Ed ("we", "the app") collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using CBG Ed you agree to this policy.

Information we collect.

• Account information: when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account.
• Study data: your activity in the app - questions answered, flashcard reviews, bookmarks, notes, and progress - is stored so it can sync across your devices.
• Anonymous device identifier: if you use the app without signing in, a random per-device ID is created so your local progress persists. It is not linked to your identity.
• We do NOT collect patient data or protected health information, and you should never enter patient-identifying information into the app.

How we use information. We use your information only to provide and improve the service: to authenticate you, save and sync your study progress across devices, and understand aggregate, non-identifying usage to improve content and features. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services. We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) by Google LLC to authenticate accounts and store your study data, and Apple and Google as sign-in providers. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies (Google: policies.google.com/privacy; Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy).

Data storage & security. Your account and study data are stored in Google Firebase. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure.

Data retention & deletion. You can clear local progress at any time in Profile - Reset Local Progress, and sign out to stop syncing. You can initiate deletion of your account and associated cloud study data in Profile - Delete Account. If you need help with deletion, use the in-app feedback form (Profile - Send Feedback).

Children. CBG Ed is intended for medical professionals and trainees and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices & rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on your location you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
