Medical Disclaimer
CBG Ed · Last updated June 2026
CBG Ed is an educational resource for physicians and physicians-in-training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS). It is intended to support study and learning — it is not a clinical decision-making tool.
Not medical advice. Nothing in this app is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, formal training, attending supervision, or your institution's protocols. Do not use CBG Ed to diagnose or treat any patient.
Verify against primary sources. Question explanations, flashcards, and summaries are curated from the published literature with AI assistance and may contain errors or become outdated. Always confirm clinical details against the primary literature and current society guidance (e.g., ACOG, AAGL, SGO) before any clinical application.
No patient-specific guidance. Content is general and educational. It does not account for any individual patient's circumstances and must not be applied to a specific patient without independent clinical verification.
No liability. The creators of CBG Ed make no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of the content and assume no responsibility for any clinical decision made in reliance on it. Use of the app is at your own discretion and risk.
Short form (used inline on the sign-in screen):
"For medical education only — not medical advice. Always rely on current guidelines, your training, and attending supervision for patient care."
Privacy Policy
CBG Ed · Last updated June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CBG Ed ("we", "the app") collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using CBG Ed you agree to this policy.
Information we collect.
- Account information: when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account.
- Study data: your activity in the app — questions answered, flashcard reviews, bookmarks, notes, and progress — is stored so it can sync across your devices.
- Anonymous device identifier: if you use the app without signing in, a random per-device ID is created so your local progress persists. It is not linked to your identity.
- We do NOT collect patient data or protected health information, and you should never enter patient-identifying information into the app.
How we use information. We use your information only to provide and improve the service: to authenticate you, save and sync your study progress across devices, and understand aggregate, non-identifying usage to improve content and features. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services. We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) by Google LLC to authenticate accounts and store your study data, and Apple and Google as sign-in providers. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies (Google: policies.google.com/privacy; Apple: apple.com/legal/privacy).
Data storage & security. Your account and study data are stored in Google Firebase. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no method of electronic storage is completely secure.
Data retention & deletion. You can clear local progress at any time in Profile - Reset Local Progress, and sign out to stop syncing. You can initiate deletion of your account and associated cloud study data in Profile - Delete Account. If you need help with deletion, use the in-app feedback form (Profile - Send Feedback).
Children. CBG Ed is intended for medical professionals and trainees and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices & rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on your location you may have additional rights under applicable law.
Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
